As Pope Francis, the Holy Father of the Roman Catholic Church, announces he will formally consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, let us remember the dialogue the Blessed Mother had with the three shepherd children; Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia. Is it possible prophecy will finally be fulfilled from what was said in Fatima in 1917?

Russia was specifically mentioned in the request. Although Ukraine was not mentioned as a part of the request, Ukraine was in fact a part of Russia when the request was made.
At the Fatima Center there is a page dedicated to “Remember Our Lady of Fatimas Peace Plan“
At that site they say “God worked a very great miracle before more than 70,000 people at Fatima so that all people would listen to His Mother’s pressing appeal. She came to Fatima out of Her maternal concern for us, Her children, but if we ignore Her, then terrible things will happen. Many souls will go to hell forever and all of us on earth will be enslaved in a worldwide prison of Communism. If we listen true peace will be given to the world and many souls will merit eternal happiness in Heaven.“
They also say “Sister Lucia of Fatima was left on earth to explain the message of Our Lady of Fatima to the world. She has stated clearly that if we do not heed Our Ladys requests then Communism will enslave the whole world, including the United States.“
Webster discusses communism that “advocates a proletariat overthrow of capitalist structures within a society; societal and communal ownership and governance of the means of production; and the eventual establishment of a classless society.” With the 2020 election in the US, all appearances are that the new administration advocates a change from capitalist structures to a more equally shared approach to communal living. There are some in the world preaching that in a few years “you will own nothing and be happy.” Communism has definitely reached the shores of the US but it was not an outside force but a takeover from within that has placed the US in its current state.
How significant is this consecration? Church Militant’s news hour on March 18, 2022 had a snippet dedicated to the question of the significance of this consecration and the buzz in the news cycles it has generated.
What should all the faithful do at this prophetical time? Sister Lucia said it best.
Dear Queen and Mother, Who promised at Fatima to convert Russia and bring peace to all mankind, in reparation to Your Immaculate Heart for my sins and the sins of the whole world, I solemnly promise: (1) to offer up every day the sacrifices demanded by my daily duty; (2) to say part of the Rosary (five decades) daily while meditating on the Mysteries; (3) to wear the Scapular of Mount Carmel as profession of this promise and as an act of consecration to You. I shall renew this promise often, especially in moments of temptation.
