One of the hardest books of the Bible to decipher is that last book. But, now that so many prophecies are being fulfilled, you have to ask “Are we in the times of tribulation?”
What happened to the Rapture theory that’s been purported for so many years? After careful reading of the Bible, it does appear there is a specific Rapture that happens, but the timing of that Rapture is after the tribulation. As the riders of Revelation come forward, there is The Rider on the White Horse in Rev 19.
From his mouth issues a sharp sword with which to smite the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron; he will tread the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
Rev 19:15
Before this chapter in the Book of Revelation, there is no mention of the rapture of souls. we did hear about souls under a table in chapter 6.
When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne;
Rev 6:9
Who are these souls? Those who had been martyred for their faith? When were they martyred? Before the 5th seal.
In just two verses later you have another declaration revealing additional souls giving testimony to the Word of God.
Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.
Rev 6:11
So we hear there will be additional martyrs during this time of the seven seals. But, when does the Rapture happen? When do the followers of Jesus join Him in the sky?
Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:4
They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. This verse is preceded by Jesus conquering the Devil and throwing him into the abyss. This will be a great reign of Christ and a great era of peace if Christ is the one leading the nations.
How do we unpack the rest of those chapters in the Book of Revelation? Before God executes His plans, he typically will send a prophet to proclaim the inpending doom:
Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amit′tai, saying, “Arise, go to Nin′eveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness has come up before me.”
Jonah 1:1
Nin’evah was given 40 days to change their ways or destruction would happen. What was their response?
When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil way, God repented of the evil which he had said he would do to them; and he did not do it.
Jonah 3:10
So God tells His messengers to tell the people of God what is about to happen. Give them a chance to repent and turn back to God.
For more than 100 years there have been messages sent from heaven. The message has been plain and clear,
As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before.
Our Lady of Akita, October 13, 1973
The tribulation has started. Man has not repented in 50 years. What is the possible outcome after the 7 seals are opened? Two resources to review to understand what is coming:
